Directions

1. Place a 2 1/2" kelp square on one end of each peri, aqua, burgundy, and floral rectangle. Sew diagonally through the middle of the square. Trim away the excess fabric, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance. Place a 2 1/2" kelp square on the other end of each rectangle. Stitch and trim the excess fabric. Make 64.

2. Sew a unit from step one to a kelp rectangle. Make 64.

3. Arrange and sew four matching units from step 2 together to make one block. Press. Make 16 blocks.

4. Sew a hyacinth border strip to each side of the center panel, then the top and bottom. Repeat with the kelp border strips. Press all seams toward the border strips.

5. Sew three blocks together to make a side border row. Make 2 rows and stitch to each side of the center unit. Sew four blocks together to make a top border row. Repeat for the bottom border row. Stitch the borders rows to the center unit.

6. Repeat step 4, sew the kelp border strips to the sides; then the top and bottom edges.

7. Repeat step 6 to add the hyacinth border strips; then the floral outer border strips.

8. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing. Quilt as desired. Bind the edges.
